Merriments Gardens

Merriments is home to four acres of beautiful gardens, which have a careful mix

of trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses to provide interest and imaginative colour combinations from spring to autumn.

The formal garden is divided into separate areas comprising an entrance garden set out in the style of Monet's 'Grande Allee' at Giverny in France with an impressive bridge stretching over large ponds, a fountain,  gravel garden, water garden, a foliage border, woodland and a rock and scree garden. A unique feature of the gardens is the wild area where many bird feeders and a bird watching hide provides visitors with the opportunity to spot over sixty species of bird feeding throughout the day.
